III. FOR THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA BY KAUFMANN.
In the following, we would like to give you an overview of how we ensure the protection of your personal data when accessing our website and which types of personal data we process for which purposes and to what extent.
- Processing data when accessing our website - log files
When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected. This information (server log files) includes, e.g., the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your Internet service provider and similar information. The IP address is also transmitted and used to use the service you have requested. This information is technically necessary to correctly deliver websites content requested by you and is mandatory when using the Internet.
This log file data will be anonymised or erased by us immediately after the end of the usage process. The legal basis for data processing is point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR.
The log file data is stored for a period of two weeks in order to identify and analyse possible attacks against our website in accordance with our IT security concept. The legal basis for data processing is point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR.
The log file data is stored under a pseudonym for a period of two years in order to optimise our website for marketing purposes and to suggest other products to visitors of the website, which other customers have also shown interest in. The legal basis for data processing is point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR.
- Notes on ensuring data security
We take technical and operational security measures on our pages in order to protect the personal data stored with us against access by third parties, loss or misuse and to enable secure data transfer.
We must point out that due to the structure of the Internet, unwanted data access by third parties may occur. It is therefore also your responsibility to protect your data against misuse by encryption or other means. Without appropriate protective measures, unencrypted data in particular can be read by third parties, even if it is transmitted by email.
IV. INTEGRATION OF EXTERNAL SERVICE OFFERS
- Integration of social plug-ins
Our website uses social plug-ins ("plug-ins") from various social networks such as Facebook.com, Twitter.com, Google+ and Pinterest. The purpose of these plug-ins is to provide you with an opportunity to interact with your contacts and to easily disseminate interesting information. These plug-ins can be identified by the respective logo in the network. We use a 2-click solution so that there is no data transfer when simply visiting the website.
Only if you click on such a plug-in will your browser establish a direct connection with the relevant social network's servers. The social network directly transfers the plug-in contents to your browser, which then integrates them on the website. If these networks are located outside the EU or the EEA, we cannot therefore exclude the possibility that your data may be transferred to a server outside the EU/EEA and processed there. We have no influence on the amount of data and the period of use of the data that the respective network collects with the use of this plug-in and therefore inform the users according to our level of knowledge.
By integrating the plug-in, the respective network is informed that you have accessed the relevant web page. If you are logged on to one of the networks at that time, this network is able to assign this information to your profile. If you do not want the network to collect information about your visit to our website, you must therefore log out beforehand. However, there is always the possibility that the network may find out your IP address and store it even though you have not registered or logged in there. Further, we do not have any information on the erasure of the data that is collected by the providers of the plug-ins.
The plug-in provider will store the data that are collected regarding your person as a user profile and use it for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the custom configuration of its website. Data (including data of users who are not logged in) are for example evaluated in this way to provide custom advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your use of our website. You have the right to object to service providers creating these user profiles.
The legal basis for data processing is point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR. For more information on the purpose and the extent of data collection and processing and use of your data and on your related rights and privacy protecting settings, please refer to the data protection information of the respective networks or websites.

- Integration of Google TAG Manager
We use the [Google Tag Manager] to deliver online advertising and integrate external partners. This enables us to control the delivery of online advertising. This tool works without cookies but requires the transmission of IP addresses to Google. The use and application of the Tag Manager is measured here. We activate the anonymisation of the IP address before forwarding to Google. The legal basis for data processing is point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR. The data will be erased after a period of two years.
- Integration of Google Maps
On this website we use services by Google Maps, another service provided by Google, Inc. This serves the purpose of displaying interactive maps directly on the website, making it easy for you to find the locations indicated by us on the website and enabling convenient use of the map function.
This application is accessed directly from Google's servers, so the company receives the IP address currently assigned to you. When you visit the website, Google receives information that you have accessed the relevant sub-page of our website. Whether and to what extent or over what period the IP address is stored by Google and used internally is beyond our knowledge. The legal basis for data processing is point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR.
If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, Google may still use your IP address and store it for profiling purposes. Google will store the data collected regarding your person as a user profile and use it for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the custom configuration of its website. Data (including data of users who are not logged in) are for example evaluated in this way to provide custom advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your use of our website. You have the right to object to Google creating these user profiles.
We would like to point out that data processing by Google may take place outside the EU/EEA. Google may process your personal data in the US, and has agreed to comply with the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. For more information on data privacy at Google, please refer to http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/
- Integration of YouTube
Our website uses plug-ins from the YouTube website operated by Google. The operator of the website is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, US.
If you visit one of our pages that features a YouTube plug-in, a connection with the YouTube servers is established. In this respect, the YouTube server will be informed about which of our pages you have visited.
If you are logged in to a YouTube account, you allow YouTube to assign your browsing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
YouTube is used to ensure an appealing presentation of our websites and is therefore based on point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR. We only capture the extent to which YouTube videos are accessed and erase this data after a period of two years.
For more information on the handling of user data, please refer to the YouTube privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.
- Integration of AddThis
Our web pages also contain AddThis plug-ins, services provided by AddThis LLC, 1595 Spring Hill Road, Sweet 300, Vienna, VA 22182, US ("AddThis"). These plug-ins allow you to set bookmarks or share interesting content with other users. The legal basis for data processing is point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR.
Using these plug-ins, your Internet browser will establish a direct connection to the AddThis servers and, if applicable, the selected social network or bookmarking service. The data collected in this context (e.g. time of use, browser type etc.) is stored and processed on the AddThis servers in the US. When you submit content on our website to social networks or bookmarking services, a link may be established between your visit to our website and your user profile on that network. We do not use the data collected with the appropriate technologies to personally identify you as a user of this website. We only receive statistical evaluations, which we can use to improve our offers. We have no influence on the collected data or the data processing procedures, nor are we aware of the full extent of the data that is collected, the purposes of the processing or the retention periods. Further, we do not have any information on the erasure of the data that is collected by the providers of the plug-ins.
The plug-in provider will store the data collected regarding your person as a user profile and use it for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the custom configuration of its website. In particular, this evaluation takes place (including for users who are not logged in) for the provision of needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of such user profiles; if you intend to exercise this right, you must contact the respective plug-in provider.
If you do not wish to participate in this procedure, you can object to the collection and storage of data at any time by setting an opt-out cookie with effect for the future: http://www.addthis.com/privacy/opt-out/ . Alternatively, you can set your browser to prevent the setting of cookies. Please note, however, that in this case you may not be able to use all our website's interactive functions and services. Further information on data protection at AddThis can be found here: www.addthis.com/privacy .
- Data transfer to Wertewandel
As part of your purchase, you have the opportunity to collect sustainability merits from our partner, Wertewandel GmbH, Fraunhoferstr. 8, 53121 Bonn (subsequently "Wertewandel”). For this purpose we use the Wertewandel plug-in on our website. When you access our website, your browser establishes a direct connection with Wertewandel's servers. Your browser is automatically prompted by the plug-in to download a representation of the corresponding Wertewandel plug-in. If you use the plug-in, your membership number, the time of your purchase, the ordered goods (description of the goods, number of goods, price), as well as the total value of your purchase are transmitted to Wertewandel, linked to your membership account and stored. Wertewandel requires this data in order to fulfil the user contract concluded with you, in particular to store the corresponding number of merits in your member account. The legal basis for processing your data is point (b) of Art. 6(1) GDPR. After the successful completion of the contract or deletion of your Wertewandel membership account, your data will be blocked for further use initially and, after the expiry of the statutory retention periods, erased, insofar as you have not expressly consented to the further use of your data or insofar as Wertewandel is subject to a legally permissible use of data that extends beyond this and which Wertewandel informs you about in its privacy policy. For more information on data privacy, please refer to the Wertewandel privacy policy (www.wertewandel.de/datenschutz).
- Review reminder by Trusted Shops

This consent may be withdrawn at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below or directly to Trusted Shops.
V. OUR COOKIE POLICY
- General information on the use of cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your end device and stored by your browser. These serve the purpose of making our offers more user-friendly, effective and secure. We use so-called temporary cookies, which are automatically erased when you close your browser ("session cookies"), as well as persistent (permanent) cookies.
You have the choice whether you want to allow the setting of cookies or not. You can make changes in your browser settings. You have the choice whether you accept all cookies, whether you are informed when cookies are set or whether you want to reject all cookies. If you choose the last option, it is possible that you will not be able to use our offer to the full extent.
When cookies are used, a distinction must be made between mandatory cookies and those required for further purposes (to measure access figures, advertising purposes).
- Mandatory required cookies when using the website
We use session cookies on our websites, which are absolutely necessary for the use of our websites. These include cookies that allow us to identify you while you are visiting the page in a single session. These session cookies contribute to the secure use of our offer by enabling the secure processing of the shopping basket function and the payment process.
- Use of cookies with your consent
Below you will find an overview of the cookies used by us with your consent granted when you start using the website. You will also find an opt-out option with each description of the use. These are cookies for recording usage behaviour on our website and cookies that are used for advertising purposes.
· a) Use of cookies to record usage behaviour (tracking)
The use of tracking cookies enables us to identify users when they access our website again and assign usage processes to an internally assigned code number (pseudonym). In this way, we can record repeated visits to our website and analyse them in context.
The following tracking cookies are specifically used:
Tracking by Google Analytics
(This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, text files which are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the US and stored there. Upon activating IP anonymisation on this Website, however, your IP address is abbreviated by Google within European Union member states or other states which are part of the European Economic Area first. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the US and shortened there. Google will, on our behalf, use this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide further services connected to the use of this website and of the internet. The IP address transferred by your browser in the context of Google Analytics will not be combined with any other data from Google. You can prevent cookies from being stored by setting your browser accordingly; however, please note that you may not have full use of all features of this website in this case. In addition, you may prevent any data created by the cookie and relating to website usage on your part (including your IP address) from being transmitted to and being processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the link http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de We use Google Analytics to analyse the use of our website and to make regular improvements to it. With the statistics that we obtain, we can improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as user. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the US, Google has agreed to comply with the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. The legal basis for storing cookies is the granted consent (point (a) of Art. 6(1) GDPR). Further analysis of the collected data using Google Analytics takes place over a period of two years on the basis of point (f) Art. 6(1) GDPR. You can also find further information on this at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en or https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ (general information on Google Analytics and data protection).
Use of Optimizely
As described above, cookies that are linked to a pseudonymised ID are used for analyses. The last three digits of your IP address are abbreviated in other states which are part of the European Economic Area. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Optimizely server in the US and stored there. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Optimizely server in the US and abbreviated there. The IP address transferred by your browser in the context of Optimizely will not be combined with any other data from Optimizely. Optimizely is used to evaluate your use of the website and to compile reports on website activity so that we can regularly improve our services. Optimizely has agreed to comply with the EU-US Privacy Shield. The legal basis for storing cookies is the granted consent (point (a) of Art. 6(1) GDPR). Further analysis of the collected data takes place over a period of two years on the basis of point (f) Art. 6(1) GDPR. You can prevent cookies from being stored by setting your browser accordingly; however, please note that you may not have full use of all features of this website in this case. You can also deactivate Optimizely tracking at any time (and therefore prevent the collection of the data regarding your use of the website which is generated by the cookie -including your IP address- being transferred to Optimizely and the processing of these data by Optimizely) by following the instructions at http://www.optimizely.com/opt_out.
Google AdWords Tracking
We use the Google Ads service and the help of advertising means (so-called Google AdWords) to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites. These advertising media are delivered by Google through so-called "Ad Servers". Ad server cookies are used to evaluate performance parameters such as ad impressions, clicks and conversions. As a result, we can determine how successful individual advertising measures are in relation to the data of the advertising campaigns. If you access our website via a Google advertisement, a cookie will be placed on your computer by Google AdWords. These cookies usually become invalid after 30 days and do not serve the purpose of personal identification. The following analysis values are usually stored with this cookie:
- Unique cookie ID
- Number of ad impressions per placement (frequency)
- Last impression (relevant for post-view conversions)
- Opt-out information (selection that the user no longer wishes to be addressed)
These cookies enable Google to recognize your Internet browser. If the user visits certain pages on an AdWords customer's website and the cookie stored on their computer has not yet expired, Google and the customer are able to see that the user has clicked on the advertisement and was referred to this page. Every AdWords customer is assigned a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. We ourselves do not collect and process any personal data in the aforementioned advertising measures. We only receive statistical analysis from Google. On the basis of these analysis, we can identify which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising media, in particular we cannot identify the users on the basis of this information. The legal basis for the storing of cookies by Google is the granted consent (point (a) of Art. 6(1) GDPR).
As a result of this marketing tool, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. Please note that data processing by Google may take place outside the European Union. Google has agreed to comply with the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-USFramework. In addition, we have no influence on the extent and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our state of knowledge:
Through the integration of "tracking tools" Google receives the information that you have accessed our website's corresponding page or you have clicked on an advertisement from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, the provider may still find out and store your IP address. You can find further information on data protection at Google here: http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html You can refuse to set a cookie. This can be done, for example, in your browser settings, which generally deactivate the automatic setting of cookies. Alternatively, you can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by changing your browser settings so that cookies from the domain "www.googleadservices.com" are blocked. In addition, by installing a browser plug-in, you can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en If you do not wish to receive interest-based advertising, you can deactivate Google's use of cookies for this purpose by accessing the https://www.google.de/settings/ads/ page. For more information on data privacy at Google, please refer to http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/. Alternatively, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) website: http://www.networkadvertising.org/
· b) Use of cookies for advertising purposes
We use cookies for marketing purposes, for example to gear advertising to a website visitor's interests. They are also used to limit the frequency of the advertisement and measure the effectiveness of the advertisement. For example, it is recorded which web pages and which articles were clicked on. As a result, we can collect information about usage habits in order to adapt interest-based advertising. This information is shared with third parties. In these cases, the cookies are regularly set directly by the advertising partner.
The following cookies are specifically used:
Use of Google Remarketing
In addition to AdWords tracking, we also use Google Remarketing. This is retargeting, i.e. to deliver interest-based advertising on other advertising spaces outside our website. This application allows us to display advertisements about the services/products previously viewed on our website after you have visited our website when you visit other websites. The cookie stored in your browser is used for recognition. As a result, Google can collect information about your interest in certain products based on your previous visit to our website and use this information to target advertisements on other websites. According to its own statements, Google does not combine the data collected in the course of remarketing with your personal data, which may be stored by Google. In particular, according to Google, pseudonymisation is used for remarketing.
The purpose of its use is to be able to place advertisements suited to your interests and to advertise our products in a targeted manner. Google has agreed to comply with the EU-US Privacy Shield. The legal basis for storing cookies is the granted consent (point (a) of Art. 6(1) GDPR). Further analysis of the collected data takes place over a period of up two years on the basis of point (f) Art. 6(1) GDPR.
If you do not want advertisements tailored to your interests to be displayed, you can deactivate cookies in your browser or notify Google of this with future effect using the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/ .
Use of DoubleClick by Google
This website uses the online marketing tool DoubleClick by Google, another service offered by the company Google. DoubleClick uses cookies in order to display adverts relevant to users, to improve the reports on campaign performance or to avoid that a user sees the same ads repeatedly. Google determines via a cookie ID which ads are displayed via which browser and is thus able to prevent the ads from being displayed repeatedly. Furthermore, DoubleClick can capture so-called conversions with cookie IDs which have a reference to ad requests. For example, this is the case if a user sees a DoubleClick ad and later on accesses the website of the advertiser with the same browser and purchases something there. According to Google, DoubleClick cookies do not contain any personal information.
By implementing this marketing tool, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. Please note that this may involve data processing outside the European Union or the European Economic Area. Google has agreed to comply with the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. We also have no influence on the handling and further use of the data by Google. The legal basis for processing your data over a period of up two years is point (f) Art. 6(1) GDPR.
If you do not want to receive interest-based advertising, you can disable the use of cookies by Google for these purposes by accessing the page https://myaccount.google.com/intro. For more information about DoubleClick by Google, please refer to https://www.google.de/doubleclick/ and for data privacy at Google in general: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/. Alternatively, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) website at http://www.networkadvertising.org/
